EV-MEDICALS has always chosen the wavelength of 2940nm for ablative resurfacing so Er:YAG
but not CO2.
The reason is simple: Er:YAG is a non-coagulant laser, therefore always extremely superficial and
through controlled energy it’s capable of stimulating the regeneration of tissues (baby skin) in
an outstandingly efficient way with much more controlled side effects compared to CO2.
Consequently, it gives better results. Additionally, the fractioned hand-piece allows to reduce the
downtime to only a few days in case the patient prefers a treatment programme of fragmented
sessions over a long period of time. The treatment is less aggressive and in the long run the
efficiency of parameters is still valid.
CygnusDuo makes the difference since finally provides patient with the choice: dramatic results
versus some temporary side effects and downtime, results step by step with no side effects
downtime neither.
